Massimo G. Colombo

Massimo G. Colombo is Professor of Gastroenterology at the University of Milan, Italy. His research studies interests include diagnosis and treatment of viral hepatitis and liver cancer. He is Chairman of the 1st Division of Gastroenterology and Co-chairman of Department of Medicine at the Policlinic University Hospital, Milan.

 

Prof. Colombo received a medical degree in Medicine at University of Milan where he completed a residency in Gastroenterology at Policlinic Maggiore Hospital. He completed fellowship in Liver Disease at the Mount Sinai Hospital in New York.

 

Prof. Colombo has been the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Hepatology. He is affiliated with several professional Associations and Societies, including the American Association for the Study of the Liver and the European Association for the Study of the Liver and other professional bodies in Italy. He is an international lecturer and speaker, sits in the editorial board of many Hepatology journals globally and has published more than 235 original manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals with an Impact Factor in the last five years of 461.6 points.
